Adding Elders
A key part of Suncrest’s leadership is a group of leaders called “elders” who are responsible to guard and guide the church.
We ask for the church’s input as we begin the process of adding new elders. Anyone can suggest names to potentially enter a year-long elder development/assessment process. After that process, some participants will be recommended as elders in years to come.
To suggest names:
1. Please pray and reflect on the servant leaders with spiritual maturity you know at Suncrest. They should fit the descriptions of elders in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
2. Confirm their willingness to be considered with them. (You must first get their agreement to suggest a name.)
3. Submit your suggested name(s) using this form by August 15.

- Scripturally, these leaders have ultimate responsibility to oversee and shepherd the church.
- Legally, our elders serve as our board for oversight.
