6th-8th Graders

5-6:30p.m. on Sundays at Suncrest

We know the middle school years can be complicated. Students are growing up fast and need a place where they can learn how God sees them. Our goal is to create a community where every student knows they matter and belong. The road through middle school may be bumpy, but it doesn’t have to be lonely.

Frequently Asked Questions

When and where does Transit meet?
InsideOut meets on Sundays from 5-6:30 p.m. at Suncrest Christian Church. When you arrive, drive up to the Main Entrance of the building for drop-off or park in the lot and enter through the Main Entrance doors.

Will my student be put into a small group? How are the groups organized?
Yes! Our groups are broken down by grade, gender, and school. We believe circles are better than rows, so we want students to experience a consistent group of their peers with leaders who care about them. We typically start by asking if a student has any friends they want to be in group with. If so, we try our best to make that happen! If not, we’ll put them in a group with other students who are the same gender and in the same grade.

How do you choose Transit small group leaders?
We are SUPER picky about who we invite to lead students. Potential leaders fill out an application, go through an interview process, provide references, and submit to a background check. Once leaders are chosen, we provide training so they are prepared and equipped to lead students. We ask leaders to commit to stay with their group until the students graduate high school.

Where do first-timers go?
Just inside the Main Entrance doors are tables where students can check in and be added to a small group. We’ll get them registered and reach out to their leader to come meet them and walk them over to join the rest of the group!
